Dizziness & Balance
Your body needs information to get oriented. To stay balanced, it relies on the brain to integrate information from the eyes, the inner ear, the joints, and the muscles. This is known as the vestibular system. When there's tension, stiffness, or changes in neck movement, this information can be affected and, in some people, contribute to a feeling of unsteadiness or dizziness.

How we think about it
Chiropractic care can be part of this process by improving the mobility and function of the spine, especially in areas that provide important information to the brain about body movement and position.
This information is part of proprioception, the system that lets your brain know where each part of your body is and how it's moving, even without having to look at it.
When the brain gets clear information from your body, it can use it along with information from the eyes and inner ear to help you maintain better orientation and balance.

You feel unsteady when walking.
You get dizzy when changing positions.
